Deb from Bonbon Oiseau has organized a raffle to benefit the Food Bank of NYC (local soup kitchens had to turn people away on Thanksgiving--pretty sad state of affairs).
A bunch of very cool local designers, companies, and artists donated some pretty hot looking stuff and also a few artists from out of state...(Hortensia Handmade Knits/Ann Wood Birds/Therapay Bath products/ Bonbon Hairpiece and Jewelry/Paris Guides from Open Road Publishing/Sesame Letterpress Coasters/Perch Design ceramics and more) ...all together, these goods are worth about $800.
Deb has already raised over $500 and will be selling tickets ($5 at the events and $10 on-line via paypal to deb@bonbonoiseau.com) at the Secret Santa Project sale this weekend. Her goal is to raise at least $2000 by December 21st (that's when the drawing is!) For every dollar we give the Food Bank, Robin Hood will triple our donation. The big winner will be announced on Deb's blog, Your Destiny is Stone Golden on Monday, December 22nd. So make sure to stop by the Bonbon Oiseau table on Saturday and buy your raffle tickets!!
